Tools : WineCVS with DX9
Posted by Tobias Schleuss on 2005/3/27 14:10:00 (13399 reads)

Andreas Schneider aka GlaDiaC has patched WineCVS and written a profile for Oliver Stiebers Direct3D 9 patchset. The profile is for Patchset/WINE 2005-03-10.

Known problems

  • Off-screen rendering artifacts look like this.
  • Vertex tweening and blending aren't implemented yet, this means some characters may not animating properly in games.
  • Missing Pixel and Vertex shader support will show up as missing or odd looking textures, or the game crashing out.
  • Missing stencil buffers prevent shadows and clipped windows from appearing properly, some games may have missing text.

Compile instructions

This is experimental stuff!

1. Download WineCVS.sh (overwrite an existing one!!!)
2. Run upgrade ./WineCVS.sh upgrade if you already have installed it
3. Get the dx9wine profile
4. Run it to compile wine
5. Start dx9wine to create the config directory

You should know how to setup a current wine configuration.
